ways to help

Your support will "help us help" female ex-offenders in Northern Virginia make the difficult transition from incarceration back into the community. Our assistance to clients is comprehensive. Friends of Guest House is the only such group focused on Northern Virginia.

Currently, we reach about 125 women a year—less than a third of Northern Virginia's 400-plus women on community supervision. We must reach more.

We recently expanded our Residential Program to serve 17 women at a time (nearly doubling Residential's capacity). To fully fund that expansion, we're counting on our community's generosity, especially this year.

"Guest House helps you dig deep and look at yourself. Without their compassion, without the teachers, without the love that gives us hope, there is no way that anyone who has lived the life that we have lived can grow—can become responsible, loving, caring people. We need your help. Please."
—MICHELLE (client)

“With no other program like Guest House available in Northern Virginia, we rely heavily on them to provide critical reintegration services to our female clients that qualify for their program. We see the difference in the women that go through the Guest House program and those that do not."
—CHIEF C.W. RORRER, Probation & Parole Officer, Adult Probation and Parole District 10, Virginia Department of Corrections
