Goodbye to 2024

Goodbye to 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on this year’s incredible milestones and express my deepest gratitude for your continued support of Friends of Guest House.

This year, we celebrated a monumental achievement—our 50th anniversary. For five decades, Friends of Guest House has been a place of hope and transformation for over 5,000 women rebuilding their lives after incarceration. Thanks to supporters like you, we served 260 women in 2024, providing the housing, counseling, and skills they needed to embrace their second chances.

We were also honored to receive the largest donation in our history from Yield Giving, an extraordinary gift that has allowed us to strengthen our financial infrastructure. While this gift has been a game-changer for our long-term sustainability, it was designated to build our foundation—not to fund daily operations, which are essential to our mission.

Unfortunately, 2024 also brought challenges. Like many nonprofits, we have experienced a decline in donations, putting additional strain on our ability to maintain the vital programs that directly support the women we serve.

This is why your support is more critical than ever. Your generosity enables us to continue providing life-changing services to women working tirelessly to create brighter futures for themselves and their families.

As we look toward 2025, we do so with hope and determination—and that hope is fueled by you. Thank you for standing by us, for believing in the power of second chances, and for being an integral part of the Guest House community.

If you are able to make an additional year-end gift, your contribution will go directly toward ensuring the women of Guest House have the resources they need to succeed.

Wishing you a joyful and fulfilling New Year. Together, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of so many.

Sincerely,

Sonja
