Meet our Workforce and Life Development Manager: Thomas Minor

Did you know that Guest House offers over 1000 hours of Workforce and Life Development classes each year? Staff help educate our residents on a wide range of important areas. Finances, boundaries, yoga, art therapy, resume building, and more are all covered in our classes.

We often get asked: How can I help? We have lots of answers, but one way is volunteering to help with our workforce classes.

Right now our biggest need is adult education. Many of our residents struggle to read and write. Despite this, they are motivated to learn and some go on to get their GEDs. With your help, we could better support their goals and dreams.

If you have any background in teaching/tutoring, or just a love of reading and writing, please contact our Workforce and Life Development Manager, Thomas Minor, at Thomas@friendsofguesthouse.org. A commitment of one or two classes a month would make a huge impact.
