Your gift to the Friends of Guest House ‘Welcome Fund’ – provides everything needed to make each new resident’s arrival warm and welcoming, including welcome baskets full of basic essentials, funds to purchase unique, essential items to make their stay more comfortable, and supportive transitional services.
We understand the importance of feeling comfortable and confident upon arrival at Guest House. The ‘Welcome Fund’ also helps residents to purchase unique essential items to make their stay more comfortable. From clothing to essential personal items, we’ve got our women covered so they can buy exactly what they need.
To date, the Welcome Fund has assisted residents in purchasing work uniforms, umbrellas, coats, backpacks, and personal care items. These items may seem simple to some, but they mean so much to our residents as they strive towards successful reentry into our community.
You can also purchase items from our Welcome Basket Amazon Wishlist if you’d like. Each new resident receives a Welcome Basket upon arrival at Guest House. These baskets include essential hair care and hygiene products (e.g., toothpaste, shampoo, hairbrush, etc. ), as well as helpful items to make their stay more comfortable, such as a towel and a laundry basket. Because we all know that every arrival should be a warm and welcoming experience.
